IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Tournament administration costs (printing and postage), are up to £150 per tournament. Reducing these costs will mean:
1) more local and national tournaments
2) more individual and group coaching
3) entry fees can stay at their current level

Chessuk.com
The majority of posted entry forms will be replaced with online tournament information and entry forms on chessuk.com, the website for women and girls’ chess in England. Competitors will also be emailed tournament information when it becomes available.

On chessuk.com you will be able to:

TROPHIES
There are Regional Trophies for the age groups: U18, U14, U12, U10 and U8.

Trophies will also be presented to the intermediate age-groups: U11, U9 and U7.

Please note, that should a player who is eligible for an intermediate age group prize (U11, U9 or U7) win their section, they will be presented with both trophies.

The trophy winners will retain their prizes for one year. They will also receive a smaller trophy to keep. Silver and bronze medals will be presented to the runners-up.

Every competitor who stays for the prize-giving will receive an additional prize. We also intend to provide coaching throughout the day.

Entry is open to any girl, born or resident in England. Girls living or born outside a particular region can enter for qualification purposes, but they will be unable to win the Regional Trophies.

If you are unsure of your qualification region, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Girls who score 50% or more, including any byes, will qualify for the Gold Finals, to be held in Nottingham in June 2007.
