Girls' Team Championships results

This
prestigious team tournament was open to all female chess players,
up to the age of 18. County sides, school teams or just groups of
chess-friends were all welcome.
This
festival of chess was held in the historic grounds of Claremont
Fan Court School. |

The venue
boasted picnic facilities, tours of the mansion and grounds and
live video matches.
|
The day started
with a special presentation to the elite players
by the Principal
of Claremont Fan Court School, Mrs Patricia Farrar
and the Mayor
of Elmbridge, Councillor Martin Schofield.

| |
This
was the largest ever girls' team championship in this country,
with 235 players
competing to win national titles in six different sections.
