Present the

National Girls' Team Championships results

This prestigious team tournament was open to all female chess players, up to the age of 18. County sides, school teams or just groups of chess-friends were all welcome.

This festival of chess was held in the historic grounds of Claremont Fan Court School.

The venue boasted picnic facilities, tours of the mansion and grounds and live video matches.

The day started with a special presentation to the elite players
by the Principal of Claremont Fan Court School, Mrs Patricia Farrar
and the Mayor of Elmbridge, Councillor Martin Schofield.

This was the largest ever girls' team championship in this country,
with 235 players competing to win national titles in six different sections.

Below are just a few of the competitors.
