This will
be the 4th year of the prestigious All England Championships,
with girls from all across the country competing in regional
tournaments in order to qualify for the National Gold Finals.
Entry
is open to any girl, born or resident in England. Girls living
or born outside a particular region can enter for qualification
purposes, but they will be unable to win the regional trophies.
Girls
who score 50% or more, including any byes, will qualify for
the National Gold Finals.
The
entry fee for all is £12.
Any
player who also enters the Northern regional tournament will
receive a total discount of £4 (£20 for entry
into both tournaments).
We
intend to provide coaching throughout the day.

The
prize-giving will be at approx 5.10pm. Every competitor
who stays for the prize-giving will receive an additional
prize.
Clocks
will be used in all games, with all moves in 35 minutes
per player per game. Rapidplay rules will apply and the
decision of the controller is final.

There
are Regional Trophies for the age groups:
Under 18, 14, 12, 10, 8.
And
intermediate age-group trophies for the: Under 11, 9, 7. Please
note that should a player who is eligible for an intermediate
age group prize (U11, U9, U7) win their section, they will
be presented with both trophies.
The
trophy winners will retain their prizes for one year. They
will also receive a smaller trophy to keep. Silver and bronze
medals will be presented to the runners-up.

From
the M1 - Take exit 25 off the M1. Follow A52 Nottingham.
Straight across the 1st roundabout, still on the A52. At the
2nd roundabout, hold the centre lane and keep straight on,
still on the A52. Pass Bramcote Baths on the left, then turn
left into Moor Lane. The school entrance is after 100 metres
on the left. The tournament will be held in the buildings
on the right.

Public
Transport - In a taxi, the school is approximately
30 minutes from Nottingham station, 15 minutes from Long Eaton
station and 15 minutes from Beeston station. |

| Parents,
friends, teachers and trainers and welcome to stay, but only
control staff and players will be allowed in the Playing Hall.
A
high standard of behaviour is expected and girls and parents
must not go into areas of the school not specifically set
aside for the chess. The ECF accepts no responsibility for
any damage, theft or accident to the person or property of
anyone attending this event. They are unable to act in loco
parentis for children. Parents/guardians are responsible for
their children throughout the entire duration of this event.
The
ECF may wish to use photographs taken at this event (i.e.in
ChessMoves or on chessuk.com). It's important that you fully
complete the entry form and delete as appropriate.

|
Refreshments will be available
throughout the day, including hot and cold drinks, sandwiches,
salads and snacks. The canteen will be available for parents
and analysis. |
