GDST trophy and medal winners
The 2nd Girls' Day School Trust and English Chess Federation Chess Championships took place on the 28th January 2006 at Oxford High School.
I was thrilled to receive entries from 15 of the 26 Trust schools, with players travelling from as far afield as The Belvedere School, Liverpool.

Oxford High School was a fantastic venue for this important inter-trust event and I would like to thank the headmistress for allowing us to use the school.
I run local and national chess competitions across England and in general, no tournament is without its problems, but it was a huge pleasure to run an event where the girls and parents were so polite and helpful. Thanks to everyone who attended for making the day such a success. I hope to receive entries from all 26 trust schools in 2007.
