Welcome to the

Summerscale

Chess Clubs website

This website aims to provide information
on all of the Summerscale Chess Clubs,
and interesting junior chess news.

Our considerable experience working in schools throughout London has shown that chess success leads to confidence and enthusiasm, which transfer to many other fields of education. Chess teaches children to think in a logical and mathematically structured manner. It also encourages them to think for themselves and develop a healthy competitive spirit.

Most importantly, chess is fun. We run a fun chess competition at every school, with trophies and medals for the winners. Each child will additionally receive a certificate and another prize. Coupled with this competition, all children will receive Grandmaster chess tuition.

Chess is for all ages and abilities:

Whether you're just starting out,
Have played for a couple of years,
Or are ready to represent your country,

we look forward to welcoming you to our chess clubs.
Grandmaster Aaron & Claire Summerscale
