This will
be the 5th year of the prestigious All England Championships,
with girls from all across the country competing in regional
tournaments in order to qualify for the National Gold Finals.
Entry
is open to any girl, born or resident in England. Girls living
or born outside a particular region can enter for qualification
purposes, but they will be unable to win the regional trophies.
Girls
who score 50% or more, including any byes, will qualify for
the National Gold Finals.
The
entry fee for all is £12.
We
intend to provide coaching throughout the day.

The
prize-giving will be at approx 5.20pm. Every competitor
who stays for the prize-giving will receive an additional
prize.
Clocks
will be used in all games, with all moves in 35 minutes
per player per game. Rapidplay rules will apply and the
decision of the controller is final.

There
are Regional Trophies for the age groups:
Under 18, 14, 12, 10, 8.
And
intermediate age-group trophies for the: Under 11, 9, 7. Please
note that should a player who is eligible for an intermediate
age group prize (U11, U9, U7) win their section, they will
be presented with both trophies.
The
trophy winners will retain their prizes for one year. They
will also receive a smaller trophy to keep. Silver and bronze
medals will be presented to the runners-up. |

Directions |

From
the M6 - Take exit 26 off the M6 onto the M58 towards
Liverpool/Southport. Take exit 3 off the M58 and follow Ormskirk/Southport
A570 signs. Just after the Sandpiper Pub, turn left at lights
onto the A506 towards Kirkby. After half a mile, turn right
into Long Lane, signposted Aughton/Formby. After 2 miles (in
the 30mph zone), turn left at the crossroads into Parrs Lane.
Turn right at the end of Parrs Lane. Turn sharp left into
Moss Delph Lane immediately after the railwat bridge. Take
the 4th left, Delph Park Avenue (the school is signposted).

Public
Transport - By train. From Liverpool Central, take
the northern line service to Town Green Station. The school
is a 15 minute walk away.

| Parents,
friends, teachers and trainers and welcome to stay, but only
control staff and players will be allowed in the Playing Hall.
A
high standard of behaviour is expected and girls and parents
must not go into areas of the school not specifically set
aside for the chess. The ECF accepts no responsibility for
any damage, theft or accident to the person or property of
anyone attending this event. They are unable to act in loco
parentis for children. Parents/guardians are responsible for
their children throughout the entire duration of this event.
The
ECF will publish competitor photographs taken at this event
(i.e.in The Right Move or on chessuk.com). If you object to
this, you must inform me by email.

|
Refreshments
will be available throughout the day, including hot and cold
drinks and snacks. Several classrooms will be available for
parents and analysis. |
