SECTIONS
- Teams will consist of four players.
There will be four
section: U18, U14, U11, U9.
A team can enter as a school
team, club team or simply a group of friends.
The entry fee will be £10 per player (£40 per team)
Clocks may
be used on the top boards, in which case the rate of play will be 25 minutes
per person per game. Registration will be from 10.00am – 10.20am.
There
will be five rounds:

| Round 2: | 11.40am - 12.30pm | Round 4: | 2.10pm - 3.00pm | Prize-Giving | 4.30pm |
TROPHIES - Permanent and “to keep” trophies will be presented to the section winners, as well as medals to the leading players. There will be a special prize for the most successful school team in each section. The top scoring player in each team will also win a prize.
RELAX WITH CHESS – A separate event will be run for parents and siblings. The entry fee will be £8 per player. There will be five rounds. A trophy will be awarded to the winner.
REFRESHMENTS – Food will be available throughout the day, including hot and cold drinks.
PARENTS - Only control staff and players will be allowed in the playing hall. A game lounge will be available where selected games can be viewed live via a video link. You are advised that there is no formal supervision between rounds, so it is suggested that you either stay to look after your own daughter or arrange for another adult to be responsible for her. A high standard of behaviour is expected and girls must not go into areas of the school not specifically set aside for the chess. We cannot be held responsible if girls leave the school site without adult supervision.
